This is our view from our friends new home. An incredible view on a hill in Berkeley. When the sky is clear, which is about 20 nonconsecutive minutes a day, the Golden Gate is clearly visible. Quite majestic. Our first night there we sat on the deck and shared a meal with one of our favorite friends.
THIS is the view of the front of house after we returned from a trip to San Francisco. In addition to this wagon, there were 8 other police cars, a Haz-Mat team van, and a Firetruck. Not to mention the POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS tape outside the gate of the house we were visiting. The police officers asked us to evacuate, but later changed their tune to a wait and see for us. We were stuck inside this house with a gorgeous view, but the energy around us was manic. Sunday morning, walking to get the newspaper, the POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS tape was still draped across our gate. Being the law abiding citizen that I am, I took a few moments before I braved the line to reach under to grab the paper. I still felt like I was breaking the law. Our police officer that was posted near our house gave us a little more detail of what was going on. The home next door had the components for bomb making. Needless to say we departed.
